[Inspiration] The McCall Pattern Co 7343 : Pattern Patron
An arrangement of items found on my recent thrifting adventure assembled with items from my inspiration box.
Being a nature lover I adore the work of Jamie Mills. Her drawings remind me of the beautiful and vast landscapes in North Central Arkansas. Now that I reside in the greater area of St. Louis I miss the hiking trails and rivers being but 10 minutes away from my doorstep. I paired one of her works (within the series “Elephant”) with a quote I found on her blog.

A piece inspired by a Mumford and Son’s song “Sign No More” that beautifully expresses the liberating bond of an honest partnership. The final piece will be composed on the computer, printed on a white background bordered by a white matte, and held by a black frame (16 x 20).

More to come as the project progresses!
THE MARCH OF THE ROSE
Created for International Women’s Day; a celebration of achievements and a reminder of the positives.

“As we go marching, marching, we bring the greater days
The rising of the women means the rising of the race
No more the drudge and idler – ten will toil where one reposes,
But a sharing of life’s glories – Bread and Roses! Bread and Roses!”
Absolutely in love with the work of Netherland designers, Daniera ter Haar + Christoph Brach. Feeling more than inspired by natural color in the past month I commemorate these designers for combining old techniques with new; ” the classical medium of handmade paper with the contemporary production technique of laser cutting.”
